Cafe Mondegar is everything which evokes nostalgia for Mumbai’s past. It is about good old music and good vibes. It is one of the oldest Irani cafes of Mumbai (1932). It is also about its fascination for murals cartoons created by legendary Indian cartoonist Mario Miranda. It is about faded furniture, chequered floors and an old jukebox with collection of classic songs. It is about locals and foreign tourists sitting in harmony. But most of all, because it’s the sort of place you can buy a beer at noon in without feeling guilty.
